What makes the UCCS Galleries of Contemporary Art (GOCA) unique is simple: we don't just display art, we connect people through art. We are part of UCCS, with deep roots in the community, and we rely on the support of the community to produce award-winning programs accessible to all.

Beyond bringing innovative, boundary-breaking visual art exhibits to our galleries, we produce programs and events that engage and delight our audiences. Our events build on concepts in the art exhibits, and they are all about sensory experiences: talking, touching, learning, dancing, tasting. Fact: You'll feel smarter and inspired after attending GOCA exhibits and events. We promise!

GOCA is responsible for raising all funds for all of its programs. Many of our events and exhibitions are 100% free to the public. Your donation in any amount makes this possible. Thank you!

GOCA FUND

Supports innovative site-specific and gallery exhibitions (free to the public) and Gallery of Contemporary Art special events at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

 
BILL BURGESS MEMORIAL FUND FOR EMERGING ARTISTS

To provide support to inspire professional artists who will be exhibiting at the Galleries of Contemporary Art at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. If $25,00 is raised within five years, the fund will be administered as a pure endowment.

Bill Burgess deeply believed in the transformative power of art, and he enriched the Pikes Peak region for 50 years through his creation of sculpture. To honor his legacy, the Bill Burgess Fund for Emerging Artists has been established to encourage up-and-coming artists to further their careers by providing annual support of an exhibiting artist or emerging artists exhibition at the Galleries of Contemporary Art.
