The Artist Series Presents American Ballet Theatre Studio Company

The Future of Ballet Takes Flight: American Ballet Theatre Studio Company to Grace the Ent Center Stage this March

Colorado Springs, CO (February 10, 2026) — The Ent Center for the Arts is proud to announce the arrival of the American Ballet Theatre (ABT) Studio Company for two exclusive performances on March 13 and 14, 2026. As part of the prestigious Artist Series, this residency brings the global stage to Colorado Springs, offering audiences a rare glimpse at the next generation of ballet legends.

The ABT Studio Company represents American Ballet Theatre's elite performance ensemble—a select group of 12 rising stars who stand among the nation's finest dancers. These artists embody the pinnacle of technical brilliance and artistic passion, performing at a world-class professional level. Prepared by ABT's legendary 85-year tradition, they are poised to join the ranks of the world's most celebrated ballet companies. Their caliber speaks for itself: over 80% of current dancers in American Ballet Theatre—including most Soloists and Principal Dancers, like Misty Copeland—are alumni of ABT Studio Company.

"There is unique electricity in watching these dancers at this exciting moment in their careers. They are the among most exciting artists and athletes in the country," said David Siegel, Executive Director of the Ent Center for the Arts. "Studio Company dancers are the future of ballet, the best of the best. Bringing artists of this caliber to our community is a testament to UCCS’s 50+ year commitment to creative excellence and the vital importance of the arts."

The Family Matinee (Saturday, March 14 at 2:00 PM): An abridged and narrated performance specifically designed for families and young audiences. This special program features captivating selections from the Company's repertoire, enhanced with engaging explanations and onstage demonstrations that illuminate the fundamentals of ballet. It's the perfect introduction to the world of professional dance, allowing the next generation of local performers to see their peers on stage in an educational and welcoming environment.

Community Partnerships and Accessibility

In a true celebration of the local dance community, the Ent Center is proud to partner with the Dance Alliance of the Pikes Peak Region (DAPPR) and Green Box Arts to present ABT Studio Company. These collaborations ensure that the residency extends beyond the stage, deepening community engagement and celebrating our nation's premier ballet company as we look ahead to America's 250th anniversary. Support from the Kirkpatrick Family Fund makes this special engagement possible.

To ensure that the magic of ballet is accessible to all, tickets for children for the March 14 family matinee start at just $10. Families can also take advantage of special bundle pricing to make this world-class experience affordable for everyone.
