Max Shulman

Biography:
Max is an associate professor of theatre at UCCS. Recent directing credits include Henry IV/V, Pericles, An Iliad (Theatreworks), Awake and Sing and Danton’s Death (Quintessence), The Escape and Shakuntala (Authentic Theatre), and, at UCCS, Indecent, Everybody, Ugly Lies the Bone, and Tis Pity She’s a Whore. In New York, he was resident producing director at the Center for Jewish History, and a literary associate at Abingdon Theatre. He is director of the HomeFront Theatre Project and To the Battlefield and Back Again that creates performance events around issues affecting our veteran and active-duty communities. He holds a PhD in Theatre History from Tufts University.
