Assistant Professor of Music Colin McAllister celebrates the diversity of practices and new approaches to modern repertoire for classical and electric guitar. The repertoire—some of which is newly commissioned— celebrates the creativity and contributions of traditionally underrepresented and marginalized groups, and includes two world premieres, by Stuart Saunders Smith and Philip Blackburn.
