PROLOGUE: LITTLE WOMEN

On the occasion of our new take on Little Women, we’ve decided to tackle one of the most fascinating and important subjects in American theatre: casting. The choices of artists that you see on the stage is the result of a months-long process that is complex and vitally important to our art form. The way we highlight performers illuminates how we reflect our society, the ways we want to tell stories, and our commitment to inclusivity, as we build a theatre for all. 

Andrea Zee and Jason Styres are on the forefront of these conversations. They are prominent New York casting directors in film and theatre who will come with glorious stories and new ways to look at the intricacies of casting. Theatreworks artistic director, Caitlin Lowans, and Theatre and Dance Program Director, Kevin Landis, will provide context on casting in Colorado.
