Learning & GOCA
Education is at the heart of all we do at GOCA, whether it’s sharing our world-class public sculpture program with visiting K-12 students, engaging undergraduate students through Slow Looking and Visual Analysis exercises shown to improve vocabulary and writing abilities, training UCCS students on professional best practices in art handling, exhibition and lighting design, label writing, events management and planning, marketing and more. GOCA has for the past eight years co-presented a nationally-significant visiting artist and scholar speaker series with the UCCS Visual & Performing Arts Department, as well as inviting local speakers and UCCS faculty to share their knowledge on a broad range of topics such as Transhumanism, Mushrooms, Hitchcock, Chocolate, the history of Hip Hop, Brazilian Dance, Motorcycles and much, much more.
