OUR SEASON

CURRENT PLAYS & EVENTS

SEASON INFORMATION

Traditionally, Theatreworks presents a six-show subscription season, as well as our Free-For-All program and associated events including panels, chats, and Prologues. Our season plans for 2021-2022 will be announced later in 2021.

Prior to a season announcement, we have wonderful, in-person programming planned for May, June, and July of 2021.

  • An Iliad, directed by Max Shulman and featuring one actor and one cellist for the return of our production from March 2020, outdoors at the Ent Center and virtually May 6-23,2021.
  • Free-For-All: Midsummer Night’s Dream held outdoors and free of charge at community sites around the Pikes Peak region in May & June 2021.
  • Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar and Grill, starring Cheerish Martin as Billie Holiday, featuring her most beloved songs, in July 2021 at the Ent Center for the Arts.

Throughout 2021, we’ll continue our virtual chat series:

How did we support art and artists during the coronavirus pandemic? In March 2020-April 2021, Theatreworks employed over 130 artists on a wide variety of programs. We returned to live in-person experiences in a totally new way with The Mitten, a world-premiere 35-minute shadow puppet play, co-produced with KatyWilliams Design and JParkerArts, outdoors at the Ent Center February 19-27, 2021.

We also explored the digital world:

Thank you to our audiences and donors who supported us and the theatre community throughout this time.
